On Sunday, the social program scheduled a guided walking tour to introduce us
to all the hot spots in the city. Before the tour, the girls and I got lunch at Holms Bager on one of the walking streets. The lox sandwich for 55 krone was fresh and delicious. Rundetårn (the Round Tower) which is Europe’s oldest functioning astronomy observatory. A wide ramp takes you to the top of the tower. There is a ramp instead of stairs because the King was too lazy to walk and horses draw him to the top instead. It took me about five minutes to get to the top where I was rewarded with a 360 degree view of the city.
Michela (Italy) and I with our delicious sandwiches.

A Scottish street performer blowing up a rubber glove over his head.
Old copper statues are scattered throughout the city.

Kongens Have (the Kings garden)
Changing the guards at Amalienborg Palace. This is the winter residence for the Danish Royal Family. Denmark has the oldest monarchy in Europe.
Nynhavn, Copenhagen's iconic canal lined with colorful buildings.
A thirsty statue.
Perfect day for a canal tour.
After the canal tour, a group of us went to find food around Nynhavn. We found a Thai take out place and I got a yellow curry lunch box for 54 krone ~ $9.40 USD. While sitting by the canal eating, it begin to rain. Sporadic showers are a daily occurrence in Copenhagen. Luckily, I had my umbrella and was able to hold it in one hand while continuing to eat with the other :D
