Every summer, The Copenhagen Jazz Festival presents more than 600 concerts throughout the day and evening in open-air concerts, cafes and major venues throughout the city in clubs and theatres and outdoors in parks and town squares. Most of the performances are free and this year there are a total of 1200 concerts taking place over the 10 day span.
I've checked out a few free concerts, some deliberately, some by just following the sound of jazz on the streets. In addition to having a variety of venues, the jazz festival welcomes many different styles-- blues, modern, swing, etc.

The Kayak Bar is situated right on the canal. I could dangle my feet in the water while listening at sunset :) |
